His brother was Sir Joseph Barnby, a contemporary of Sir Arthur Sullivan. They both attended the Chapel Royal School. The Demerons are recorded in Canada and also connected to an English family of the XVI. and XVII. centuries (links with a Browning family). I'd be curious to know whether all these Demerons are connected, given the apparently latin aspect of the spelling. There are villages called Domeyrot or Domérat in the Center of France (etym. originating in a gallo-roman name Almarius). This surname seems to be distinct from Dameron (with an "a"). Bessemoulin is obviously connected with "mill" and maybe with a name of tree; it can also mean "the mill driver", some mills being in old times run on rivers like boats. URL

Dorsey's birth is registered in Book 3, pg 55 at Tiffin, Seneca County Probate Court Records, as is the marriage license for Nathan and Gertrude. There is no birth record filed for Nathan E., Gertrude McEwen, Maude E., Edith E. or Glen E. at Seneca or Wyndote County, OH. I need help in locating these birth records, so I can proceed in finding out who my GGreatgrandparents were. Nathan lists both parents as being born in Ohio, in the 1880 cenus. Gertrude lists her father (McEwen) as being born in Penn, her mother born in OH. (Their parents names were not required in the census) Gertrude divorced Nathan April 19, 1890. Documents on record at County Clerks Office (Court of Common Pleas) at Tiffin, Seneca County. Cause for divorce was Nathaniel Ekleberry was serving life imprisonment for second degree murder. He had two brothers, one named Ralph, one Marvin Percy; sisters are Milly (Mildred?) who moved to California, and possibly Eunice or Bernice. John Rupert Austin moved to California and married Lucille Louise Jennison. He later returned to North Carolina and eventually died there. He has four children: Nancy Lee Austin, who died shortly after birth; Jane Phyllis Austin (now Edwards) b. 1937; John Raymond Austin and James Ronald Austin (twins). His brothers, Ralph and Marvin, were in the Navy during WWII.
