Excalibur the fabled “Sword in the Stone” of King Arthur recalls Camelot and
the deeds of the Knights of the Round Table.
Sir Lancelot aka Bill McPhail, has been
a Sysop of The BoardRoom BBS, since January 08, 1990. I started my BBS using RyBBS BBS
Software, then switched to RA, then SuperBBS software and in 1992 switching to the current
BBS software Ezycom. I began beta testing for Ezycom in 1993 and I've continued until this
date. I'm also have been a beta tester, since 1994, for Portal of Power (front-end mailer).
In January of 1998 The BoardRoom BBS was shut down so that more time can be put into the
operation on the web site.
In mid 1995 I purchased Excalibur
Communication Software for Windows and ran it on a limited basis, until mid 1996, when I
set up Excalibur Knights with internet access and shortly there after, I set
up this Excalibur Knights website.
The BBS/Communication and Website
software is operating on Windows 2000 Server, on a HP NetServer Dual 400 Raid, with
1 gig of RAM, 120+ gigs of hard drive space for hosting web sites and housing operating
system, direct internet onramp w/ T1 connection, on a LAN system.

On this date in olden times, Old November Eve was celebrated throughout the
Scottish countryside. The goddess Nicnevin was honored with prayers and feasts, and
it was believed that she rode through the air and made herself visible to mortals on this
night.
On this date (approximately) in the year 1493, famous Hermetic philosopher and alchemist
Paracelsus was born in Einsiedeln, Switzerland. (However, other sources give his
date of birth as December 17, 1493.) Paracelsus possessed remarkable healing powers
and believed in a universal natural magick. Contrary to many writings about him, he
was not a sorcerer or a practitioner of ceremonial magick (in fact, he was known to be
rather skeptical of the so-called Black Arts); however, he did believe in astrology and
often used magickal astrological talismans (inscribed with planetary symbols) in his
medical practices. He died a mysterious death in Salzburg in the year 1541.
